Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk (aMuz) consistently strives to develop internationalization. Projects implemented for 25 years under the Erasmus/Erasmus+ Programme are an irreplaceable tool for the Academy to implement this strategic concept. aMuz closely cooperates with foreign music centers and belongs to the international association AEC (Association of European Conservatoires, Higher Music Schools and Academies). The overriding goal of participation in the project was to provide young music students with a more attractive educational offer, and the staff with opportunities for professional development. Participation was aimed not only at developing substantive or language competences, but also at strengthening soft skills, including interpersonal, intercultural skills and strengthening European identity. In the case of musicians and artists, the ability to reach a wide audience regardless of language, cultural background or geographical location is extremely important. The Academy aims to build its institutional brand and to develop its potential at local, regional and international levels, which is in line with the aMuz strategy.
