Tackling geographical remoteness and involving rural areasInclusion, promoting equality and non-discriminationCommunity development

Objectives

By implementing this project, we wanted to develop a model for the creation and operation of the LORD center (Local Center for Adult Development) by both of the Partner communes individually according to the needs diagnosed by each of them, as well as a workshop program developed by the JUMP organization, aimed at establishing education development centers in their communities. We wanted to achieve access to high-quality educational offers for adults, counteracting geographical remoteness and including rural areas, social inclusion, promoting equality and counteracting discrimination. Through the implementation of the LORD center, we want to improve access to the educational offer of adults, devalued, without secondary education, with irregularities, seniors, people at risk of social and economic exclusion, who need to develop their basic skills and key competencies in determining their educational needs. We wanted to provide free and easy access to learning opportunities for adults in our commune.

Background

We wanted to implement the project because we see a real need to equalize opportunities for all EU citizens, including the residents of our commune, the commune of Lousada, the Commune of Soverato and other EU communes. We do not have adult educational support centers, but we have noticed the need to organize them in our local communities. The report on the state of the commune from 2020 shows that part of the population of the Wojnicz commune may feel excluded for economic, social or social reasons or awareness of their low qualifications. A significant number of residents of our commune have a huge language barrier. Therefore, we would like to break the barrier in international contacts and we wanted to experience international cooperation, which has not existed in the commune before. By establishing a three-way cooperation with the project partners, we want to start activities aimed at the local community aimed at international integration, we want to break stereotypes, cultural, language and anti-European barriers. This project is very necessary in many aspects for the development of local communities. On the one hand, it breaks stereotypes and barriers, and on the other, it enables action for adult education.
