Background

In September 2022, a survey among our students highlighted significant challenges post-Covid-19, such as difficulty focusing during online classes, separating home life from school, and dealing with distractions. These issues resulted in academic and behavioral problems upon returning to school. We observed a lack of engagement, concentration difficulties, procrastination, missed deadlines, and increased aggression and anxiety among students To address these, we prioritized promoting common values, civic engagement, and emotional intelligence. We wanted to enhance students' understanding of these values and entrepreneurial skills. Aligning with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, we also prioritized fighting climate change and developing students' green skills, integrating values education, community engagement, inclusivity, and environmental education We needed to improve digital skills through project activities, helping students gain 21st-century competences necessary for school, work, and life, to make students more focused and responsible for their future and the planet's sustainability. Over a three-year period, we aimed to reduce the issues identified, support European citizenship, and share best practices locally.
