All the objectives mentined in the project were achived. The main main goal of our project was to instill in our students social and emotional learning skills that are considered key to 21st century skills. We hoped to reveal their potential by developing the skills to recognize, be accountable, empathize, make responsible decisions, and build relationships, which are the five core competencies of social-emotional learning. Therefore, we aimed to understand the root causes of behavioral problems that teachers often observe, find solutions to these problems and replace them with positive gains, and help students develop coping skills in the face of vital issues. Moreover, we wanted to contribute to the improvement of interpersonal relationships in our school, teaching the students, but also the teachers, to manage their own lives and feelings better. We wanted the educational community, teachers, students and families, to be more aware of the importance of developing a healthy mindset. Make children stronger, inspire them to be curious abouth dicovering the world learning new languages as well as improved English skills among teachers working in the project.
Each of the partner schools already had experience in implementing activities related to emotional and social learning. However, combining activities and observing them in different schools provided new opportunities and ideas. The school in Romania joined the project out of curiosity, because it was their first Erasmus project. Schools from Spain and Poland wanted to establish new foreign relations and obtain new ideas for working with children. We wanted to motivate more teachers in our schools to learn and improve their English skills. Above all, we expected to help students to work on their socio-emotional development, fostering good values, improving school coexistence, and emphasizing the importance of understanding how they feel and why. We wanted to improve our knowledge to work better with children with special educational needs and those with war trauma. Students as well as adults are supposed to be able to accept emotions kindly and change them if possible or necessary. Finally we wanted to compare educational systems and methods used in UE countries, especially approche towards children with special needs and imigrants.
