We wanted the school to become an institution that influences the green thinking of future generations, who will care for our natural environment and live in a way that prevents environmental pollution. We wanted social and educational activities to be carried out in our schools about environmental pollution and its prevention. So that teachers in our schools have high ecological competences, know the educational policy regarding environmental pollution and climate change, have skills and effective tools and methods of educating students in an environmentally friendly way. We wanted our students to be sensitive to the needs of the environment and aware of their responsibility for it. They had knowledge about environmental pollution and its types, and the impact of human activity on environmental problems. They were able to take responsible actions and initiatives to protect it, attached importance to recycling and segregated waste, knew the rules Zero Waste.
The environment we live in – clean water, air and soil – is essential for us and future generations. We must take care of them, prevent pollution and degradation, develop green thinking and green skills, and expand ecological sensitivity among adults and young people, take action to improve the condition of the environment to protect our world. School is a place where a young person acquires knowledge and skills, so schools should take care to develop teachers' ecological awareness and then transfer this knowledge to students, so that now and especially in the future, in their adult lives, they can make conscious and responsible decisions.
