Our objectives included helping pupils become more accepting and tolerant of different cultures, as well as improving their teamwork, management, communication and language skills (Web 2.0 tools). All participating schools aimed to provide a safe and peaceful environment for immigrants and to help children better understand their place in society. The brochure helped disadvantaged pupils to reintegrate into society through our project, integration activities and best practices introduced in the project. The project served as a bridge for students to cross national borders, as few of our students can afford to go abroad and experience other cultures. During the implementation of the activities, students strengthened their bonds with the institution, which in turn improved their academic performance. Students from different countries increased tolerance and eliminated prejudices, developed confidence, self-esteem and felt better both mentally and physically as a result of the training they received. Furthermore, we increased teachers' awareness of various topics related to the inclusion of disadvantaged pupils: equality, self-esteem, the effects of war and migration, tolerance of diversity, empathy and coping with stress.
Our partnership's primary goal was to give all children equitable chances to improve their social and emotional intelligence in addition to their academic proficiencies. Our schools lacked resources for inclusive programs. We needed a guide that included a variety of activities that help our students promowe their self-skills,enhance their social and emotional abilities and help them tolerate diversity because all of our schools have disadvantaged students (SEN students, boarding students, monoparental students, socially and economically disadvantaged ones, refugees, and minority groups). We thought that when students felt safe and involved in their schools, they would perform better academically. This project was implemented in order to increase the awareness of inclusion in education in schools in four application partner countries. Also, the idea was to exchange good practices for social and educational inclusion between the partner countries. The needs of teachers-they understood the concept of inclusion more closely, application of new inclusive techniques in teaching, proper management of an inclusive classroom.Students' needs - increased their self-confidence,became more aware of differences, increased tolerance and acceptance of others.
