By implementing the project, we primarily wanted to take the first step towards establishing cooperation at the international level within the framework of the partnership. Implementation of the project was to contribute to: - establishing international contacts, - Strengthen the key competencies of students and teachers associated in partner organizations, - increase the level of linguistic competence of participants in the project activities, - building a European network of contacts and establishing international cooperation, - increasing the level of knowledge of ancient history, traditions, culture of the countries associated in the partnership, - to create the image of the school as a modern school providing many opportunities for the development of its students.
The school applied for the project because it did not have its own financial resources to carry out such a large-scale school education project in international cooperation with institutions from Greece and Italy. The project met the needs for strengthening foreign contacts, developing the competencies of students and teachers (key competencies, social competencies, language competencies) as well as developing interests in history, culture and traditions, developing social competencies such as the ability to work in a group, finding oneself in new situations, environment. The project also allowed the creation of an effective network with reliable partners, which gave all organizations the opportunity to develop, exchange experiences. The school was not an experienced institution before the project, so it seemed right to partner on a small scale with more experienced institutions.
