We wanted; to prevent school dropouts by increasing the social cohesion of students in the disadvantaged group. to increase inclusive education by bringing together disadvantaged students among partners. to make students more active both physically and socially by increasing the interest in sports and traditional street games to understand the different cultures in European society and improve language diversity and English proficiency. to promote international awareness and broadening worldviews by recognizing cultural diversity. to provide a natural environment for students to make new friends from abroad, play, compete and share. to play a social role in shedding light on what can be done to support children with fewer opportunities by transfering their physical, social and intellectual capacities in a positive direction. to increase sensitivity to social, cultural and environmental problems. to enable students to enjoy real activities such as sports, street games, creativity, drama, spending time in nature.
After conveying surveys and observations, we came up with the idea of this project because the academic, social and psychological conditions of the students have been adversely affected by the Covid 19 epidemic, especially the disadvantaged students have been highly affected. The partner schools joined in the project have many disadvantaged students, children from families with low economic status and living in rural areas which motivated us to to apply for a partnership project and provide transnational learning activities to them. After the Covid 19 pandemic, we observed that our children's social development, tendency to drop out of school, communication skills and foreign language learning had been adversely affected. With this project, we aimed to cope with screen addiction, combat school drop-out and basic skill deficiencies, support disadvantaged students by directly involving them in the planned activities, developing a positive attitude towards school, and thus reducing school dropouts. By organizing international LTT meetings, we also wanted to promote common European values and eliminate racism and discrimination through some outdoor physical activities.
