Objectives

The main objectives of the project included the ability to use a modern digital tool, the Finnish platform ActionTrack, creating mobile games and interactive murals, as well as the development of language skills, including IT vocabulary and expressions. Additionally, the project aimed to increase the attractiveness of education and vocational training, facilitate the exchange of best practices, and promote attitudes of tolerance and empathy towards cultural diversity. The project also sought to expand knowledge about the geography, tourism, and culture of the partners and to strengthen interpersonal skills such as building self-confidence and teamwork.

Background

We wanted to undertake this project because it responds to the needs of innovative education and the demands placed by the job market on our graduates. Technological progress increases the importance of creative skills and requires new competencies. The phenomenon of urban mobile games is becoming a permanent element of this situation. Students and graduates of our schools must be prepared for the new expectations of future employers and clients, and be able to use tools offered by modern technologies. After completing the project, we aim to permanently integrate this tool into our teaching programs. We plan to train other teachers who are willing to introduce innovations in teaching through interactive games in their subjects. We also wanted our students to have the opportunity to improve their language skills. Thanks to the project, they not only learned new IT-specific vocabulary and expressions related to game creation and programming but also had the chance to encounter ‘living language’, familiarize themselves with it, and realize the immense importance of proficiency in foreign languages in contemporary world.
