Objectives

With this project, we aimed to support youth educators in adapting entrepreneurship education to global challenges by providing inclusive, innovative, and specific training aligned with the SDGs. We’ve chosen the SDGs as the guiding framework, as they represent a globally recognized agenda to be achieved by 2030. Our overarching objective (O1) is to empower youth educators to train young people to launch fair, sustainable businesses (linked to Erasmus+ Priorities P1 and P2). Additional objectives include: O2 – raising awareness of the importance and value of the SDGs for young entrepreneurs (P2); O3 – increasing the relevance and impact of youth education activities by equipping young people with skills needed for responsible entrepreneurship (P1); and O4 – supporting young entrepreneurs in embedding sustainability into business strategies to enhance resilience and competitiveness (P1, P2). We have intentionally chosen the SDGs as the guiding framework, as they represent a globally recognized agenda to be achieved by 2030. Our project activities and results are built around these objectives and aligned with the Erasmus+ priorities.

Background

We applied for the FAIRPRENEUR project to address 2 urgent and interconnected challenges: A. improving equal opportunities for all young entrepreneurs to combat youth unemployment and facilitate social participation, and B. promoting socially and environmentally sustainable entrepreneurship to build a fair economy that works for people. The project addresses needs from 3 groups: 1)Youth Educators need support to deliver education aligned with current challenges, including social, environmental, and technological changes. They must be equipped to teach management skills and sustainable business models, fostering innovation and creativity. Educators require tools to provide flexible, impactful sustainability education. 2)Young Entrepreneurs face a rapidly changing world with geopolitical, social, and environmental challenges. Entrepreneurship skills are increasingly vital, often seen as solutions for unemployment. Education benefits personal growth by developing creative problem-solving abilities also as employees. 3)Society needs updated entrepreneurship programs to address global challenges and SDGs. Such education promotes social innovation, resource efficiency, and resilience. It helps build an inclusive and sustainable society.
