Objectives

The objectives of this proposal were three, namely: 1) Training for internationalization - establishing international partnerships and promoting learning among European peers; 2) Training for intervention - deepening knowledge and learning practices to promote active citizenship, the inclusion of migrants and the most vulnerable communities with fewer opportunities; and 3) Training for communication and interpersonal relationships in contexts of diversity - knowing and applying inclusive strategies for managing teams and learners based on Non-Formal Education methodologies. Always with a focus on training the FCL entity, staff and learners, which will have an impact on the entity's intervention and on the target audience, the most vulnerable communities.

Background

FCL is an institution governed by private law and of public utility, created on January 10, 1989, recognized as an NGDO and as a training entity certified by DGERT. With the goal to contribute to a model of sustainable development in the communities where it operates, the Foundation has been developing a set of activities in the following areas: educational innovation, diversity, equity and inclusion, and education for citizenship. FCL made this proposal because: a) internationalization and the establishment of European partnerships is in its action plan for the 2022-2023 biennium; b) the Erasmus program and specifically this line allow shorter projects to gain experience and create partnerships in Europe; c) the training and qualification of FCL staff and learners were identified as priorities in the organizational diagnosis; d) knowledge of good practices and learning among European peers is fundamental in a European education space, and enriches the practices and knowledge of local and national organizations; e) and because increasing visibility and greater impact and scope of FCL communication, at local, national and international level, is one of the challenges identified in the diagnosis.
