Objectives

Our participation in this project is focused on three main objectives set according to the intervention areas previously diagnosed. Firstly, we aim to empower teachers with knowledge and skills that allow them to, later, promote the active participation of students in international programmes and projects by adopting non-conventional educational practices and adjusting them to different learning environments. Secondly, we aim to enhance digital skills for both students and teachers enabling them to engage in international projects fully and effectively by blending subjects and involving various stakeholders to facilitate a more social and democratic intervention in the learning process. Finally, it is our goal to foster collaborative networks in STEAM education enhancing scientific literacy and skills among participants. These objectives collectively aim to improve educational outcomes, bridge educational gaps, and prepare both teachers and students for active participation in international projects, with a focus on digital literacy and collaborative STEAM initiatives. This comprehensive approach reflects a commitment to addressing various aspects of education and fostering a more inclusive and dynamic learning environment.

Background

Our project application aims to enhance teaching methods and learning environments within the school community to meet the needs of students facing learning difficulties, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, like migrants. The three key areas highlighted are 1) diversifying methodologies and practices tailored to individual learning styles to create a more inclusive and supportive learning environment; 2) fostering digital, media, and scientific literacy for active and democratic citizenship preparing students for a technology driven world; 3) participating in international scientific projects to broaden teachers’ knowledge and provide them with the tools they need to create transformative learning experiences. This approach not only aims to improve academic outcomes but also emphasizes the importance of fostering civic and sustainable awareness among students.
