1. To integrate new ICT into the dynamics of the school, strengthening the knowledge and skills of our teachers to adapt existing teaching methods to the new needs of students and the educational community. 2. To generate active networks and partnerships that contribute to the digital transformation of Agrupamento de Escolas de Valdevez, increasing opportunities to contribute to the European Education Area. 3. To avoid threats and risks, to resolve the most frequent problematic situations in digital activity, detecting risks on the Internet, as well as existing danger and warning signs, protecting devices and users.
Agrupamento de Escolas de Valdevez is a group of seven schools located far apart in a large municipality (445 km2). The AEV is located in a rural and socio-economically deprived area. Against this backdrop, it was a political and strategic commitment, both at central and local government level, to provide the school grouping with the technological means to overcome the reality of geographical and social isolation. In addition, the school's Educational Project insists on digitalisation as one of the essential means of training 21st century citizens, in line with strategic and political guidelines. In this sense, communicating digitally is a priority which, given its central nature in the information and communication society of the 21st century, must be carried out in a safe environment. Therefore, equipping educational actors with resources, strategies and procedures for safety in the digital space is crucial. It therefore seemed essential to guarantee specific training on the subject of security in the digital space.
