With the development of the project we intended: - Provide teachers with tools to promote Inclusion; - To train and/or improve the language skills of teachers; - Empower teachers to develop digital skills, influencing the way they streamline the teaching-learning process. It was also intended with this project to provide significant experiences, through training in the topics of inclusion, ICT and language skills, so that all teachers had access to quality training, also providing access to other cultures, broadening the vision of European citizens.
We are a school located on an outermost island, which suffers from double insularity and has many gaps in teacher training. The teaching staff is stable, most teachers have been teaching at this school for more than ten years. The group of our students has a high percentage of students with specific needs. One of the biggest challenges is the work carried out in structured teaching and specialized teaching rooms, which are mostly carried out by teachers and non-teaching staff with little training. The school also has students of different nationalities, so the teaching staff needs to improve their language skills, especially in the area of English.
