Objectives

With this project, we aimed to: 1- introduce the perspective of mobility as a modality of continuous teacher training, 2- increase the knowledge and skills of the team for the organization of mobility projects and definition of the internationalization plan; 3- increase participants' knowledge regarding the use of digital tools in teaching, 4- improve teachers' knowledge about education systems in Europe, contributing to the development of the European education space by stimulating the development of partnerships with participating schools/ training centers, aiming to convey the values of European culture, active citizenship, inclusion, and equal opportunities for access. Through the dissemination of activities, we sought to encourage other colleagues from different organizations to participate in the Erasmus program. The activities carried out allowed us to achieve the objectives we set out. We executed the planned mobilities, involving a significant number of teachers and staff collaborating with Casa do Professor, defined the internationalization plan, and obtained accreditation.

Background

Casa do Professor was established in 1979 with the aim of supporting teachers at all levels of education, by promoting initiatives of a social, scientific, formative, cultural, sporting, and recreational nature. Currently, transnational cooperation at the level of organizations and vocational education and training is a fundamental condition to ensure that the necessary skills and qualifications are defined in order to establish the European Education Area, in which Casa do Professor wants to participate. The training centre has been operating since 1993 and is recognized and accredited by the Scientific-Pedagogical Council for Continuing Teacher Training in Portugal, and also holds certification as a Training Entity by DGERT. The TIP2 project has reinforced the importance of linking with schools and training entities from other European countries as a means of enriching and diversifying the participants' experiences and incorporating innovation into internal processes, at the level of teacher training.
