Objectives

Once the diagnosis had been made, the project's objectives were set to promote digital empowerment by encouraging education professionals to invest in personal and professional training that would lead them to understand and exploit different methods and web tools, generalizing the use of digital programs that promote innovative and inclusive practices; boost collaborative work in teaching and assessment practices, while improving interpersonal relationships, self-esteem, critical thinking skills and a greater ability to accept the perspectives of others; stimulate collaboration/partnership between national and European schools, developing collective problem-solving strategies; contribute to improving mental health by involving professionals in activities that would create positive collaborative and participatory learning environments and mitigate the negative effects of the pandemic period. The aim was to provide teaching and non-teaching staff with tools and activities to boost digital training, collaborative work, mental health, and learning with educational institutions and practices that can positively boost innovation and change.

Background

The focus of the project is to promote Digital Transformation and general Wellbeing at AEVID, whose Mission is based on the principle of inclusion, equal opportunities and public service of quality, from pre-school to the 9th grade, seeking to diversify the educational/training offer, develop pedagogical support activities, complement/curriculum enrichment and diversify pedagogical strategies/practices. The ageing of the teaching staff, along with the limitations caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, are current conditioning factors for teaching-learning processes and personal and professional well-being. Teachers/technicians were forced to adapt very quickly, without a common strategy, to an emergency situation that interrupted face-to-face contact in our schools. We fully recognise the importance of looking after the well-being of our educators, especially in the face of the constant challenges and demands of the profession, so the project aimed to equip professionals with the skills to deal with digital and emotional tools that bring security and confidence to the educational process, ensuring responses to the diversity and inclusion of students and generating transferable skills.
