AEVV, by implementing this project, intends to assert itself as an organization that contributes to the cultural and social elevation of its learners; train teachers and students to, through the critical use of digital tools, develop essential skills to respond to the challenges of a complex society; contribute to better knowledge and experience European values and cultural aspects of other countries, other realities; enhance physical and emotional well-being through contact with peers from other countries and experience unique experiences that can increase self-knowledge and knowledge of others, blurring asymmetries and differences. In general, all activities related to the implementation of the project made it possible to develop in the students and also in the elements of the educational community involved, citizenship values that are transversal to European ones and knowledge of themselves and others, so that in the short term, they improve the quality of educational success and interest in school and, in short, to grow in a healthy way in the different meanings of the terms.
The Valongo do Vouga School Group (AEVV), located in a peripheral and eminently rural area of the city of Águeda, integrated into the Priority Intervention Educational Territories (TEIP), currently with 1040 students, after the first experience in Erasmus projects and being a dynamic, capable organization, attentive to the challenges of today's society and also intends to provide its educational community, especially students, with diverse and rich experiences, complementing its educational mission. In this sense, the “Grow Healthy” Project, aimed at students aged 13 to 15 (students resuming their 8th and 9th years) aimed to focus on issues of physical and emotional well-being, an aspect that is so crucial, especially after a period of pandemic in which there is a need to intervene surgically in young people.
