As a school we want to overcome the economic difficulties, the rural and peripheral situation of the school with: - Digital mobility opportunities for two classes; - Physical mobility for 7-10 students; - Involvement of at least 2 Language Teachers in this Erasmus+ project and 15% of their classes in the digital. - Improvement of communication, linguistic and interpersonal skills; - The implementation of this type of learning in context (for instance debate) in school practise; - An increase of the literacy of all members of the school community about European Union and its institutions and of the 2030 goals.
Agrupamento de Escolas de Penafiel Sudeste (Penafiel Sudeste School Cluster) is in the north of Portugal in a semi-rural neighbourhood. The School Cluster consists of 1 kindergardener, 6 schools with primary level and kindergarden and one school with primary level (5th and 6th grade) and secondary level (7th, 8th and 9th grade). Not only there are some families with economic difficulties but also the peripheral situation hinders the development and learning of our students. Also, there are some learning difficulties derived from the context that can be faced and overcome by the improvement of the teaching methods. Learning by projects and in context is one way of facing and responding to these challenges and needs. Having different schools from different countries gives a European dimension to our students that sometimes have never left their parish and allows collaboration and learning of different teaching practices. Working in groups, by projects and themes and between different countries and realities will expand students’ interest in school, mainly in its potentiality for a better future and better future opportunities and it will equip teachers to better respond to the needs of our school.
