The objectives are to motivate educational staff to develop knowledge of European educational systems and also to train skills in the field of digital transition with the use of new technologies in innovative and motivating learning contexts. We intend to train teachers in interpersonal skills such as: leadership, training, more effective communication and integrated European citizenship. Our goal is to develop essential skills in teachers to address learning disadvantages as a result of socioeconomic, cultural, health, inclusion and special needs issues.
The Lapiás School Group is made up of 16 educational establishments, geographically dispersed in a rural area of the municipality of Sintra. It involves children and students aged 3 to 18 and is located in a vulnerable socio-economic context. The Group has around 45% of its students benefiting from School Social Action and around 10% of students have special needs, benefiting from selective and additional measures. In this context, the Learning Support Center offers 3 Structured Teaching Units. The majority of teaching staff, non-teaching and administrative staff, referred to the need for training in the current context of technological, pedagogical innovation and inclusion. We have developed this project because we identified as a great need and a pressing challenge, the involvement of teachers and staff for an international approach and motivation for an innovative, inclusive and technological education work environment.
