The aim was to develop a culture of sharing, joint participation in tasks and in the design and implementation of projects, collegial relationships with others, based on responsibility/participation, in decision-making as an incentive to increase educational quality, based on appropriate teaching methods and responsible and dedicated action. -Diversifying the training and educational offer with a positive impact on the results and motivation of students at risk of dropping out; -Valuing the experiences developed in different contexts; -Diversifying offers for students who wanted to improve their school performance; Preventing school drop-outs; -Recognise AEO as an inclusive and socially active educational institution; Contact with other realities in the context of formal and non-formal learning; - Adapt behaviour in the context of cooperation, sharing, collaboration and competition; -Maximise digital and language skills that are fundamental in today's global world; Eliminate possible economic, social, geographical, health, educational and cultural obstacles in order to increase self-esteem and consequent school success, reducing social inequalities through inclusion.
The AEO offers education from pre-school to 12th grade and is the only public secondary school in the municipality. The school offers a wide range of training programmes, but this project only focused on students in vocational education, since they have work-based training as part of their curriculum. Throughout the 9th grade, the AEO's Psychology and Guidance Service holds school guidance sessions and conducts interviews with students in order to identify which ones have a profile that is best suited to courses with a more practical and labour-oriented approach. These students tend to be constantly demotivated, fuelled by a lack of belief in a promising future and guiding them in their decisions. Some of these students have economic limitations and insufficient self-esteem to face their future with an optimistic outlook. They are students who, throughout their educational journey, have been unable to overcome the various obstacles they have come up against: economic, cultural, geographical, educational, health and social. This project could prove extremely important in minimising these external factors and promoting innovative teaching.
