With this project "Vocational Education - New Experiences, New Methods, New Opportunities", we aimed to be a reference in vocational training, guaranteeing the success of our students; to promote new experiences and adopt innovative methods, creating opportunities for everyone. Also, to identify and overcome obstacles through collaboration, reflection and knowledge sharing with partner organizations (schools, companies, ...), establishing global networks to promote professional skills and values such as equity, inclusion, motivation and respect. Facilitate the enhancement of autonomy, the strengthening of English language and the appreciation of the European Union. Encouraging student and teacher motivation, strengthening partnerships between peers, school and community. Another essential aspect was to raise students' professional and transversal skills through involvement in different social, economic, cultural and professional contexts, in line with current market needs, as well as offering new opportunities and improving different skills for teachers and the school structure, with a view to generating greater European awareness.
Agrupamento de Escolas de Monserrate is an educational organization in the city of Viana do Castelo that brings together several schools, with all levels of education, and students come from different parishes in the surrounding municipalities. In Vocational Education, it has 10 professional courses in a variety of areas. Regarding the context of the project, we felt the need to foster and promote equal opportunities, while fighting school drop-outs and enhancing vocational education. Allowing students to move around in leading companies, thus helping to rehabilitate their school career, preventing demotivation and school dropout, providing opportunities and enhancing the value of this education among the school community, making it an appealing and effective way of teaching.
