Objectives

By implementing the project, we aimed to provide an international mobility experience that directly enhanced the personal and professional development of participants. A total of 35 individuals benefited from this initiative, which, for many interns, represented their first contact with professional life, allowing them to apply and complement the theoretical knowledge acquired during their academic training. Additionally, the project offered a valuable opportunity for the development of essential 'soft skills' such as adaptability in multilingual and multicultural contexts, networking, teamwork, leadership, and the ability to work under pressure — skills highly valued by employers. For both teaching and non-teaching staff, the mobility experience allowed exposure to new and diverse professional contexts, promoting the exchange of knowledge and best practices with their peers while strengthening existing institutional partnerships. As anticipated, staff mobilities for training enabled the acquisition of new skills, which could then be applied in their home institutions. Although there was a reduction in study mobility flows, this was largely due to efforts to maximize funding from previous cycles, which had extended deadlines due to the pandemic, as well as increasing accommodation challenges.
