At institutional level, the implementation of KA1 projects is part of the Universidade Aberta's Internationalization strategy and contributes to the international recognition of the University and its virtual pedagogical model. As far as final beneficiaries are concerned, carrying out mobilities contributes to their academic, professional and personal enrichment, so the University seeks to motivate the participation of an increasingly larger number of students and teaching and non-teaching staff. Considering the specific profile of University Aberta' students (mostly adults with professional and personal responsibilities that inhibit them from carrying out long-term physical mobility), the possibility of carrying out short-term physical mobility introduced by the current Erasmus+ programme represents an added value that can contribute to a higher adherence.
