Objectives

With the implementation of this project, Iscte – University Institute os Lisbon aimed to follow the principle of mobility and internationalisation a reality for everyone, increasing networks, partnerships and exchanges that have been established with universities across Europe and the world. The aim was to develop joint projects and programmes through mobility, creating more and new internationalisation opportunities for the Iscte community. The aim was to contribute to increasing the innovation provided by BIPs, an excellent way of implementing micro-credits, as well as extending the internationalisation of students and staff, academic and non-academic, both junior and senior. These programmes enhance the training and knowledge of participants, promoting the creation of micro-credentials, involvement in activities to create new courses, the development of transversal skills and the sharing of good practices in the various departments and schools at Iscte. The goal was to provide each Iscte student with a mobility experience (long or short, for studies or internships), broadening their employability conditions in an increasingly sustainable and inclusive Europe; to contribute to increasing the mobility of academic and non-academic staff, to internationalise careers, to offer new learning and teaching experiences, to share good practices, to promote collaborative actions in terms of teaching, training, research and innovation; to foster new forms of academic cooperation, namely research and knowledge transfer, with a view to Iscte’s greater participation in the European Higher Education Area. The aim of implementing the project was also to strengthen Iscte’s relations with its wide network of higher education institutions, as well as with the ecosystem in which it operates and with society in general, contributing to the development of new cooperation projects in line with the EHEA's guidelines for modernising universities and disseminating European values. Finaly the objective to improve the skills and competences of students and staff, across the board, in the areas of sustainability, digital transition, citizenship, interculturality and democratic commitment. The aim was to contribute to a climate of inclusion, tolerance, cohesion and mutual understanding in all the Programme's activities and to increase personal communication skills and the affirmation of active European citizenship.
