Objectives

The Piaget Institute and its Higher Education Institutions intend to contribute to human and social development through establishment and consolidation of its faculties/schools that implement education and training projects, scientific research, cultural dissemination and community intervention in an inter- and transdisciplinary manner, based on scientific, pedagogical and creative freedom, proximity, fundamental human values and networking. With more than 40 years of experience, the Piaget Institute continues to be a project for an institution with a growing international dimension - both established by itself and extended through partnerships, which is economically sustainable, entrepreneurial, open to new opportunities and consistent with its constitutive principles, and which is the reason why it has been continuously investing in participation in international programmes and projects. Bearing this in mind, it can be asserted that the Institute’s participation in the Erasmus+ Program has had a very positive impact on the internationalisation of the Institution and its HEIs, and has contributed to institutional development and recognition, to the increase of academic mobility, and to innovation and familiarisation with new pedagogical approaches, which, in turn, have shown continuous and sustained positive results for the promotion of the quality of teaching and favouring multicultural learning models. The Program has also contributed to the establishment of more new partnerships and cooperation networks, making it possible to implement a greater number of mobilities and participations in joint research projects. The Piaget Institute aimed to achieve the following objectives through Action/Measure KA103: 1. Strengthen and expand institutional cooperation with Higher Education Institutions and Research Centers, with the business and associative sector, and with other entities from the EU member states and third countries associated and not associated with the Program; 2. Promote cooperation, and increase the range of possibilities for mobilities for both formal and non-formal learning purposes; 3. Promote contact with new and different pedagogical strategies and methods; 4. Foment inter- and multiculturalism; 5. Increase and share good practices regarding Higher Education and preparation for entry into the job market, with the aim of promoting entrepreneurship and employability; 6. Promote equity, inclusion and respect for difference; 7. To allow mobility/exchange periods to be carried out for students and higher education staff in the various modalities offered by the programme. The Erasmus+ program has enabled the Institute to give a better response to internationalization activities and to the permanent requirement that they are maintained and expanded in quantity and quality. Also, it has made it possible to participate in mobility and cooperation projects in a more proactive way, creating new opportunities for training and research for the Institute’s academic community. We believe that the experience we have had in carrying out the Erasmus+ program has corresponded to our objectives and has been extremely enriching for both our students and the teaching and non-teaching staff who have participated in them directly, as well as for the institutions and countries that have been indirectly involved, thus generating a positive impact on the surrounding communities.
