Ensino, Investigação and Administração SA (E.I.A. SA) | Atlântica is a Private Higher Education institution made up of two schools, Atlântica – Instituto Universitário and Escola Superior de Saúde Atlântica (ESSATLA) which, in line with the recommendations issued by the European Commission and following its Internationalization Policies, has reinforced its commitment to internationalization of both its students and its employees. This commitment has been demonstrated in recent years by the yearly increases in funding granted for the KA131 action projects as well as by the active involvement in a number of other Erasmus program projects, such as KA2, in addition to HORIZON and the Health Sciences Academic Network. As previously stated, the growing subsidies provided to E.I.A. SA | Atlântica indicate and validate our institution's primary goal in conducting these KA131 action mobility initiatives, which is to internationalize its whole community. In fact, the E.I.A. SA sees this global openness as critical to providing excellent teaching, where the exchange of teaching, pedagogical, and scientific experiences will not only have direct repercussions on those who participate, but also indirectly on the entire community, and these are mostly visible beyond the walls of the school. The constant search for new cooperation with similar institutions, mainly European, has contributed greatly to this main objective. In recent times, this same demand has intensified, but opening it beyond European borders, contributing to this fact the participation in International Fairs, including the one that recently took place in Toulouse, EAIE2024 or even the Nafsa 2024 Congress & Exposition in New Orleans. In brief, the fundamental goal of participating in these mobility initiatives is to open our school to an increasingly globalized world and thus give our students with excellent education in line with what is found in the top universities.
