Objectives

Established in 2013, the UE - Universidade Europeia is a private higher education institution recognized by the Decree-Law No. 87/2013, dated 26 June 2013. Heir to the ISLA — Instituto Superior de Línguas e Administração (the first private higher education institution in Portugal, operating since 1962), in 2016 the UE integrated IADE, a renowned institution in the teaching of Design in Portugal and in Europe, with over 50 years of history. Currently, the UE has three campuses in Lisbon and is qualified to provide in person class and distance learning degree and non degree courses in various fields of knowledge, namely: Management, Law, Tourism and Hospitality, Sports, Design and Visual Arts, Technologies and Engineering, Marketing and Communication. It is important to note that Universidade Europeia (P LISBOA08 is part of the ENSILIS network, which in Portugal also includes IPAM Porto (P PORTO29) and the IPAM Lisboa (P LISBOA110). These 3 portuguese Higher Education Institutions are part of the Europea Education Group that also incorporates the Universidad Europea de Madrid (UEM), the Universidad Europea de Valencia (UEV) and the Universidad Europea de Canarias (UEC) in Spain. Although each school has its own Academic Leader (Dean or Rector), the administration of the group and coordination of the International Office in Portugal is transversal to the three institutions, so the internationalization strategy is identical and many of the international promotion activities are carried out jointly. Even so, each of the institutions has an international team dedicated to managing its mobility processes and this report refers specifically to the mobility and results obtained by Universidade Europeia, our largest istitution in Portugal. By implementing this Erasmus mobility project, we aim to enhance the internationalization of Universidade Europeia by fostering new partnerships and encouraging the mobility of students, staff, and faculty. Our goal is to increase the number of mobility participants, particularly through our 100% English-taught Bachelor's and Master's degrees in different fields (Tourism, Management, Tecnhologies, Design and others), which facilitate access to new international opportunities and attract incoming students. This idea supports our vision of training future leaders capable of transforming business and society through a global market. There are currently more than 250 mobility and international cooperation agreements at Universidade Europeia (most of them through the Erasmus+ programme) that allow teachers, students and staff to benefit from an international experience.
