The ICM.UC 2022 project of the University of Coimbra (UC) aimed to achieve strategic, pedagogical, and cultural objectives, consolidating and expanding the institutional, academic and sociocultural capacities of UC and its partner universities. It promoted international mobility of students and staff, enabling the exchange of knowledge, teaching and research methodologies and enriching both individual and collective curricula. The project also sought to enhance the quality of Education, foster pedagogical innovation and amplify scientific output. It strengthened UC's internationalization by diversifying the geographic scope of mobility, consolidating existing partnerships, and establishing new ones, with a focus on including diverse cultural and educational contexts. It also contributed to the personal development of participants by promoting intercultural, linguistic, and professional skills. At the institutional level, it reinforced UC’s reputation and its values of global cooperation, citizenship and social responsibility. UC's internationalization was strengthened across all dimensions and its future, rooted in historical paths of cooperation, continues, as it has been for over 730 years, to be reimagined and shaped by the UC.
