The project involved a group of institutions with which the Polytechnic University of Castelo Branco (IPCB) has, in most cases, a long history of bilateral cooperation, either through the implementation of previous Erasmus projects or through cooperation protocols. The implementation focused on the objectives of the International Credit Mobility (KA171) action, namely increasing the attractiveness of EU higher education, supporting internationalization, and modernizing HEIs in a global context. The partner HEIs agreed and committed to these objectives in advance, including them in their internationalization strategies, in line with the principles that guide the European higher education area and, in particular, with the ECHE. The project also sought to promote equal opportunities and access, inclusion, and equity in all its implementation activities. Mobility is an important tool for raising awareness of diversity and multiculturalism, as well as for promoting the values of Europe and the European Union, as well as to improve the skills and abilities necessary for the successful inclusion of participants with fewer opportunities.
