Objectives

We intended gains in two areas: organizational and international cooperation. In the organizational context - support the social insertion of the unattributable person through education and non-formal training, promote the unattributable person by stimulating their capabilities, improve programs and action methodologies, develop teaching and training methodologies in favor of inclusion and contribute to the appreciation of technicians. From the perspective of international cooperation, learning about and sharing different work methodologies from different institutions. It also allowed the creation of opportunities for unaccountable patients to develop specific skills, with a view to (re)habilitation and social reintegration with active participation in society; support inclusion and access to paths to improve the social and personal skills of those who are not attributable and also to develop moral and ethical awareness; create bases for future collaboration between the parties to promote, together with similar entities in Europe, a common methodology of educational strategies for training skills in unaccountable patients.

Background

Both institutions have weaknesses that require improvements in the area of non-formal educational intervention. Faced with these shortcomings, there was a need to implement this partnership project and understand how partner entities develop skills in the field of rehabilitative practices and from the perspective of developing a moral conscience in mentally ill people who cannot be blamed. Creating the opportunity to execute the institutional strategic plan, adopting more rigor and competence of technicians in the use of new work methodologies, as well as improving digital literacy and concern for the environment were important factors for the need to implement this project. The project was important for improving action programs and methodologies, enhancing and developing teaching and non-formal training methodologies for adults that favor inclusion. These patients suffer from double stigma. On the one hand, the fact that they have been diagnosed with a serious mental illness, on the other, they are serving a judicial sentence. In this sense, reintegration into the community is more difficult, and the possibility of working on a project in the area of non-formal education is important to promote social reintegration.
