Our main goal with the ‘Greentopia’ project was to provide empowerment conditions for young people enabling them to develop the tools, knowledge, skills and attitudes to take action, to be more aware and care for environmental, social and political events in the world, their country and in their communities. Specific aims of the project were: - To involve young people and specially those with fewer opportunities in all stages of the project. - To reflect and reach conclusions on society's main challenges and relevant matters (e.g. sustainable development, inclusion, human rights, youth participation). - Capacitate and impact young people to better understand and increase participation in tackling current social, political and environmental challenges in their communities/regions. - To bring together 5 youth leaders and 3 members of the informal group in one Advanced Preparatory Visit (APV) to better understand needs and develop the project further and plan the details of its implementation. - To bring together 32 participants and youth leaders in one Youth Exchange (YE) activity (main activity). - Create and disseminate results on how to create a ‘Greentopia’, (mainly) through participants experience and also organizations. - Guarantee the sustainability of the impact and results achieved through participants themselves, organizations work with young people (target groups, including participants) and the interaction with multiple partnerships and networks established, expanding the impact of the project to wider communities and different actors.
