In Portugal, awareness and concern about environmental issues, as well as the adoption of eco-friendly practices, have been increasing, but there is still a long way to go for environmental protection to become a common practice. It is necessary to know which resources and options are available and how to put them into action to achieve this goal. With this project, we aim for young people to become active in their communities by discussing and presenting innovative and sustainable ideas to solve environmental problems, capable of making a difference in their daily lives through activities that prepare them for the future of sustainable development and environmental protection. The objectives were to: Raise awareness about environmental problems caused by pollution and climate change; Analyze environmental problems and find solutions to minimize them; Promote the exchange of ideas, experiences, and knowledge sharing between young people and professionals; Empower participants to map their ideas and design projects to be implemented in their communities; Promote the eco-sustainable development of the community. The goal of the project was to analyze the related factors with environmental abuse and find solutions to minimize them. Additionally, the project raised awareness about how youth can change minds and be part of an active society while acting up on their rights. Our activities were aimed to respond to various needs besides knowledge and social participation. We aimed to promote active participation in a new lifestyle, an eco sustainable lifestyle; getting their hands dirty in the name of the environment; youth working together, and at the same time realizing that only with community action there is a possibility of change. We aimed for more people to gain awareness about the problems of environmental care and sustainable development, also with the aim to increase the visibility, presentation, and dissemination of the project. The sharing of project outputs in social media and in public areas also enable more people to become aware of the problems caused by pollution and climate change in communities. We also aimed for the project to promote more environmental voluntary work from youth. This project aimed to give strategies for the participants to be aware of how to take action against climate change, in order to provide a more accurate and acceptable world for both this and future generations. This expanded the results of strategies for interdisciplinary cultural, social and sporting projects that focus on researching environmental problems in creative ways. Participants were asked to share what they have learned in the society they live in. In addition, other local organizations were invited to cooperate with the implementation of this project.
