The main objective of Time to Change was to offer a valuable contribution to organizations working with young people with special educational needs through artistic expression based on non-formal education. We wanted to guide the intervention of Youth Workers and organizations to meet the specific needs of these young people. We believe that in this way we can leverage communities and a more inclusive, respectful and plural Europe.
1. Organizations Organizations need to develop guiding tools and methods to innovate their modus operandi to suit the specific needs of the young people we work with. 2. YW The project has made it possible to meet the need of these professionals to develop essential skills to act in a conscious and emancipatory way so that young people can break down the barriers that the multiple obstacles they face impose on them. 3. Young people Young people with SEN feel the need to enjoy learning environments that meet their specific needs, without them feeling discriminated against, excluded or marginalized because of their peculiarities. As far as artistic expression is concerned, these young people need organizational structures to be prepared to deal with difference in a truly inclusive way. 4. Community The project focused on the need for this macroscopic change, which is necessary if society is to become increasingly inclusive and not disadvantage anyone because of the genetic differences and health prognoses that human beings may have.
