Background

Our project "New components of European education - ecology and digitalization" was written in the context of online education during the pandemic time. The two components, both digitization and greening, were aspects that deserved special attention and importance in the context of Romanian education. The needs of our colleagues to deepen the methodological aspects of the application of the two components and the expressed need for training constituted the premises for writing this project. Many teachers did not adapt their teaching/learning methods to the needs of the students and did not use different types of conflicts as an opportunity to growth. Students are more motivated by modern teaching methods, teachers must have the ability to model and encourage active listening, empathy and emotional literacy of today's students and tomorrow's citizens. Absenteeism and school dropout were also an observable premise and they imposed creative strategic solutions adapted to a changing society.
