Background

The Secondary School Gastesti, with its four structures, is placed in the suburbs of Pascani town, in the rural disadvantaged area of Moldova, with a high risk of exclusion. There are almost 300 students (9 primary educational level classes, 8 lower secondary education classes and 2 groups in The Second Chance to Education program and the preschool groups). The children are from disadvantaged environments, from families with difficult financial situation, some of them from care centres, others with special educational needs, many of them are roma children, demotivated regarding studies. There are families with a single parent, other students live with their grandparents. Given the context, we identified the need to implement an Erasmus+ mobility project, courses and training for teachers, in order to improve their nonformal work methods in a formal environment in order to lower the early school dropout rate. The main general objective was to increase the level of inclusion for the students with no motivation, leading to bullying, with a solution found in the extracurricular activities, meant to attract them within the school environment, to bring them joy, to increase the inclusion level, and to improve the work techniques.
