The goal of our project was to increase the quality of education offered for the successful integration of children in school, thus reducing absenteeism, early school leaving and the phenomenon of bullying. At the same time, we aimed to increase the school attractiveness and develop the European dimension of the institution. By implementing this project, we aimed to achieve the following objectives: Develop the skills of using the elements of creative drama as a tool to prevent bullying of 5 teaching staff participating in a course on this topic; Develop the skills of using non-formal education methods of 4 teachers participating in the course in order to increase the degree of integration and motivation of the students; Reducing school absenteeism by at least 10% until the end of the project.
Negoi Secondary School is a school whose students are mostly Roma, come from low-income families or have parents who have gone abroad. Not being sufficiently supervised by their parents, our students frequently show violent behavior, the phenomenon of bullying being more and more present, they miss or drop out school at an early age. The National Program for Reducing School Dropout (PNRAS) - initiated by the Ministry of Education has included our school on the list of institutions at high risk of dropping out school. An Erasmus + mobility project was a great opportunity for our school in our attempt to deal with of the institutional needs and challenges we face. Setting connections with similar institutions in Europe, completing the formal system by introducing non-formal methods, involving students in activities as diverse as possible, lead to improved school attendance and create well-being state
