By participating in job shadowing in Agrupamento Escolas de Barcelos, ESCOLA JOAN CASAS and CEIP Federico García Lorca, as well as in courses organized by Anatolia Education, Cappadocia Education and Georgios Charalambous Institute, the teachers of our school have consolidated their digital experience in the use of interactive whiteboards and digital platforms, thus contributing to increasing the quality of the educational act in the classroom or in non-formal learning activities. The proposed objectives were: Ob. 1 : To develop digital skills by 25% for 24 teachers in our school within 18 months Ob. 2 : To increase the attractiveness of the lessons by 10% by applying new methods and techniques learnt by the 24 teachers participating in the course and job shadowing in an 18-month period Ob. 3 : Increase motivation, self-esteem and creativity of the 24 participants in the flows by 10% at the end of the project compared to the beginning of the project. The participation in these activities contributed to the efficiency of the educational act through dynamic and innovative digital activities, to the increase of the school progress and to the professional development of the teachers and their motivation and self-esteem.
Sc. Gimn. Aron Densusianu, a structure of the "Ion Constantin Brătianu" Theoretical High School, is a state school offering an innovative educational environment. As stated in the IDP of our educational institution, the vision is to provide students with the development of digital competences, skills and competences in future-oriented areas: artificial intelligence, robotics, climate change, clean energy. One of the strategic objectives of the institution is to combat the phenomenon of early school leaving by ensuring a quality teaching-learning process, guaranteed by well-trained teachers and by providing equal opportunities for students. Starting from this need, in the context of the transition of education into the digital age, from the perspective of integrating digital textbooks into the educational process and online teaching in the pandemic context or outside it, using tablets, laptops and smart tablets, in the context of a limited offer of digital courses in the country at the time of the application, our desire as teachers was to improve our digital skills in order to provide students with a smart education. The school management offered its support to implement the project.
