Objectives

The main objective of the Erasmus+ mobility project started in 2022 is the improvement of the quality of education provided by "I.L. Caragiale" National University of Theater and Film through academic and professional exchanges between students, teaching staff and administrative staff. These mobilities represented an opportunity for the participants to access various learning environments, both at academic and cultural levels, thus contributing to the enrichment of knowledge and the development of new skills, essential for their future careers. Students had the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of their fields of study, and to expand their professional horizons through exposure to different teaching and learning methods. The development of intercultural skills represents a central element of the project. The participants had to interact with people from different cultures and social backgrounds, while participating in mobilities in different countries and educational institutions; at the same time, they learned to communicate and collaborate effectively in a multicultural environment. This experience has improved the participants’ ability to adapt and it also helped increase tolerance towards cultural diversity, preparing students and university staff for a future in which international collaboration plays an increasingly important role. In addition, intercultural skills are essential not only for integration in the international labour market, but also for personal development, encouraging a global and empathetic view of the world. Another major objective of the project was to increase participants’ employability. The mobilities provided valuable opportunities for students to develop professional and personal skills, such as adaptability, problem solving, critical thinking and the ability to work in multicultural teams. For university staff, mobilities have facilitated access to new teaching methods and cutting-edge academic resources, thus contributing to the improvement of teaching performance. Regarding the modernization and internationalization of our university, the Erasmus+ project started in 2022 had a significant impact. Academic and professional exchanges have allowed universities to collaborate and exchange best practices, and integrate new methods of teaching and evaluation. This led to a diversification of the educational offer and to an increase in the attractiveness of the university among students from other countries. The project also facilitated access to international strategic partnerships, strengthening ties between participating institutions and encouraging new long-term collaborations. Promoting social inclusion was another central objective of the project. The Erasmus+ office offers equal opportunities to all mobility participants, regardless of their socio-economic context or possible individual disadvantages. Thus, the project supported the participation of people from vulnerable groups, ensuring that they benefit from the same opportunities as the other participants. In conclusion, the Erasmus+ mobility project had a major impact on the participants, contributing to their academic, personal and professional development, and at the same time it helped improve international cooperation between higher education institutions.
