Objectives

Through the implementation of this Erasmus+ project, Agora University (UAO) pursued a series of strategic objectives aimed at contributing to the modernization, development, and internationalization of the institution, as well as improving the educational experiences for both students and staff. General Objectives: First and foremost, UAO aimed to adapt to the current international educational context, becoming a more attractive and competitive higher education provider. One of our key objectives was to establish long-term partnerships with universities in other European countries, thus facilitating the exchange of best practices and creating long-term collaboration opportunities. These partnerships aimed to enhance the quality of education offered to students and support the personal and professional development of university staff.During the implementation period of the project, UAO signed 23 new inter-institutional agreements to significantly expand the range of mobility opportunities. Another important objective was to increase student enrollment by providing them with the opportunity to learn in a dynamic and culturally diverse environment through international mobility programs. UAO sought to attract students from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds, offering them access to Erasmus+ grants, which enable them to participate in mobility programs that would have otherwise been financially inaccessible. In addition to improving the student experience, the university also focused on the continuous development of teaching and administrative staff through participation in teaching and training mobility programs. These mobility opportunities allowed faculty to adopt best practices from international partners, integrate innovative teaching methods, and contribute to the modernization of the university curriculum, thereby enhancing the quality of education. Moreover, the project also targeted institutional and individual development, where Agora University aimed to provide students with an international educational environment to enhance their academic and intercultural competencies, increasing their chances of integration into the labor market. At the same time, we wanted to offer our university staff access to resources and continuous international training, contributing to the improvement of the quality of education offered. The project also aimed to enhance the university's capacity for international cooperation, modernize teaching methods, and create a more dynamic and innovative educational environment, surpassing the initial objectives regarding the number of participants and the overall impact on the academic community. Quantitative Objectives and Results: Regarding the quantitative objectives, the university initially aimed to achieve two student mobilities: one for study and one for placement. However, through the implementation of the program, 11 students were successfully sent on short-term mobilities through Blended Intensive Programs (BIP), significantly exceeding the initial goals. Additionally, UAO initially planned for three staff mobilities. However, due to increased demand, the university requested additional funding from the National Agency for five more mobilities, resulting in a total of 8 completed staff mobilities (3 for training and 5 for teaching). This outcome allowed a greater number of faculty members to benefit from training opportunities offered by external partners, thus contributing to the enhancement of professional capacities and increasing the university's level of internationalization.
