In the first year of our Erasmus+ accreditation, we aimed to continue our mission of community development, recognizing young people, especially those with fewer opportunities, as the primary agents of change. By involving them in youth exchanges, we sought to empower these individuals. Additionally, through our two professional development activities, we aimed to enhance the skills of youth workers, enabling them to support better and mentor young people. The objectives of the first year of accreditation were according to our youth development strategy described in the initial application form. One of the objectives was to connect young people in our community with other people in Europe and to contribute to empowering young people with fewer opportunities to overcome language and social barriers to become more professionally confident and future-oriented people. For this objective, we implemented a youth exchange "Eco-changemakers" focused on creating a space for interaction and debate on current environmental challenges and proposing eco-friendly solutions for the community they live in. Through the youth exchange mobility, we aimed to contribute to raising awareness among young people in Europe about current environmental problems and finding solutions in their community. Another objective was to professionalize the association's members and youth workers from our community and Europe working with young people in different contexts such as project coordinators, volunteer mentors, and volunteer coordinators. For this objective, we implemented two professional development activities, "Better Together" was a training course that increased the level of knowledge of 23 youth workers about group dynamics and Leadership, and "Green Practices - Empowering Eco-Friendly Sharing" was a seminar with 14 youth workers from Europe focused on sharing effective methods for environmental awareness within the context of Youth Exchanges. As a result of the training courses, we created 2 brochures with methods that we shared with our partners and on the platform salto-youth.net. Through this first year of Accreditation, our organization increased its organizational capacity by adding one more person to our team whom we gave the possibility to get experience in the youth field.
