Background and Objectives One of the main reasons for implementing our project is to contribute to raising awareness of people against smoking addiction, to raise awareness about the harms of smoking addiction and to raise awareness about the harms of smoking addiction to human health. In this context, the main foundation of our project has been prepared based on our researches and statistical data. If we need to talk about these statistical data, smoking addiction is a type of addiction that threatens public health, which is gradually increasing today and unfortunately the age limit of use has started to be quite low. Studies have shown us that smoking addiction causes the death of more than 8 million people worldwide annually. In addition, more than 7 million of these deaths are directly caused by tobacco use, while approximately 1.2 million of these deaths occur as a result of exposure of non-smokers to passive smoking. Cigarette addiction not only causes death of people and impairs their health, but also leads to a decrease in their living standards and psychological wear and tear. Therefore, smoking addiction affects people negatively in every aspect and should contribute to the dissemination of studies to raise awareness about this issue. By implementing our project, we have contributed to drawing attention to the harms of smoking addiction and raising awareness about the need for more work on this issue. We also examined the tobacco use and smoking addiction rates of the partner organisations involved in our project. In this context, we concluded that: 1. The rate of smoking-related deaths in Spain is 5.08 per cent, 2. The rate of smoking-related deaths in Poland is 11.22 per cent, 3. The rate of smoking-related deaths in Portugal is 4.65 per cent, 4. The rate of smoking-related deaths in Turkey is 26.06 per cent, 5. The rate of smoking-related deaths in Romania is 20,69%. Based on the results of this research, we determined our project goals together with our partners and ensured that the goals we set were achieved by implementing our project activities.
