The reason why we wanted to implement this project was to is because according to Caras-Severin County Electoral Bureau, and also from our experience by working day by day with Roma communities we concluded that the Roma youth have no political education to understand the political system, the election process, the need for civic involvement and the importance of taking part in the voting process. A similar situation is found also in the countries of our partners, and so we wanted to educate them in order to better understand the political system and they way in wich it can be improved. Participants had to learn why their vote is important locally, nationally and internationally. The aim of our project was to increase the participation of Roma youth in the decision-making process at local, national and international level. Our objectives were: 1. to encourage a dialogue between the 40 participants(+5 leaders) from 5 European countries and politicians, during the youth exchange, for a better understanding of the voting process and active participation; 2. Development of civic spirit among the 40 young people of Roma ethnicity (+5 leaders), during the 8 days of the youth exchange 3. Increasing the knowledge of the 40 Roma and non-roma youth (+5 leaders)about the importance of voting, during the exchange 4. to provide a learning dimension about state institutions and how they are interconnected, for the 40 of young Roma and non-roma participants (+5 leaders) during the youth exchange;
