Over the past two years, not only Europe, but the whole world has faced a pandemic. In addition, we had several natural calamities that tested us as a society. For example, in the summer of 2021, we had a strong wind storm in Lithuania and the serious fires in Greece. The young people we collaborate with within our organizations were increasingly concerned about environmental impact and want to actively contribute to change. We have noticed that many of them are aware of the global ecological footprint, but are uncertain about on the practical actions they should take to be more eco-responsible. Thus, our project focused on educating them in this regard, focusing on information, skills development and adoption of sustainable attitudes. The goal was clear: to live in a more harmonious way with nature, protecting the environment for ourselves and for our future generations. The objective of our project was to develop practical knowledge, skills and positive behaviors/attitudes characteristic of an "eco-friendly" citizen among 40 young people from Romania, Bulgaria, Greece and Lithuania by the end of the project. The specific objectives of the project were: Objective 1. Developing a feeling of active citizenship in the field of environmental protection among 40 young people from Romania, Bulgaria, Greece and Lithuania by familiarizing them with practical actions to protect the environment up until tthe end of the project. Objective 2. Improving the knowledge and skills of 40 young participants from Romania, Bulgaria, Greece and Lithuania regarding the most effective ways in which they can do to become environmentally friendly. Objective 3. The aim was to increase the capacity of the 4 partner organizations from Romania, Bulgaria, Greece and Lithuania to involve in international projects in the field of environmental protection. Objectives 1 and 2 were achieved by implementing the project mobility and involving the young participants in various workshops using non formal educational methods. Participants learned about everyday measures they can take to protect the environment. Within the activities, they debunked myths on this topic, increased their ability to differentiate types of ecology and improved their key competences related to the field environmental protection. We conducted workshops where we developed containers used for selective recycling, focusing on environmental skills and habits. Objective 3 a It was fulfilled through the active involvement of all organizations in the implementation of the project.
