The aim of the project titled ‘Anti-discrimination, on the right side online for NEET’ was to create a bridge between four partners, each with a vested interest in the domains of media literacy, combating discrimination and hate speech, and empowering youths to play an active role in fostering a more socially inclusive society. This Youth Mobility - youth exchange initiative successfully involved 34 participants from Bulgaria, Romania, Czech Republic, and Poland. In line with our green travel policy, all partners traveled in an environmentally friendly way to the exchange that took place in Iasi, Romania, in November-December 2022. The specific objectives we pursued were: - To explore learning offline in order to better understand learning online - To compare and contrast offline and online education concepts - To examine the potential of non-formal education as an online tool - To explore various traditional and new methodologies that work online - To devise learning objectives for an e-learning course Moreover, through the project, we intended to inspire young people to become more proactive in their communities and counter discrimination and hate speech. Our belief was that media-literate youths with the necessary skills can orchestrate successful campaigns to address the needs of their communities while fighting discrimination and hate speech against different groups. The youth exchange also directly involved a group of young people with fewer opportunities from various countries. Their direct involvement was crucial, as they represent groups subject to discrimination, social exclusion, and other challenges.
