Objectives

Our project addressed the impact that sport has on the environment, because it seems a harmless activity, it is harmful to nature. For example, large-scale sporting events produce pollution through the amount of waste produced and energy consumed. Certain sports are also polluting (outdoors, golf, formula 1). Through this project we tried to make young people aware that sports can pollute the environment and they must act through regulations/actions, etc. for this area to become more friendly to nature. During the youth exchange, the participants created a strategy that contains both the description of the major problems caused by sport and everything related to it, as well as the possible solutions. The strategy touched on areas such as: environmental education, sport and mobility, sports facilities and sport and physical activity in urban areas, sports activities in nature and countryside and sports equipment, the role of different types of third parties (governing bodies, event organizers , sponsors and athletes). Of the 3 designated, a group worked on the development of objectives at the level of the participating countries, as follows: 1. Providing young people with basic education regarding environmental awareness. 2. More efficient use of sports facilities and renovation of old facilities. 3. To encourage young people to use sports facilities more actively. 4. Creating a new strategy according to the needs of rural areas and building facilities for these needs. The project responded to the needs of the participants to become young people who know and are aware of the negative effects of sport on the environment, act to reduce or eliminate them altogether, thus becoming more active and responsible European citizens. It also responded to the need of young people to acquire skills useful for employment, for example during the creation of sports strategy (analysis, synthesis, etc.). Mobility has also reacted to society's need to become more environmentally friendly, in this case in terms of sports (more eco-friendly activities, locations, sporting events). It also responded to the need to have dedicated young people willing to act in favor of the community in which they live. Objectives achieved: - The development of the key skills of the 28 participants, especially the digital, logical/mathematical/scientific and entrepreneurship skills, all of which will be useful for them in the future in their personal and professional lives (for employment, in entrepreneurship). - The development of the ecological sense of the 28 participants, especially realizing and promoting the sports strategy, but also creating and distributing visibility materials (instagram posts, blog articles, etc.). They realized that they, as individuals, can contribute to the greening of sport, but also of the whole society, but they can also motivate other people to become more friendly to the environment, becoming more active and responsible European citizens - Raising the awareness of the 28 participants regarding the importance of accepting cultural diversity and valuing their own cultural values, but also European multiculturalism through the 5 cultural activities (intercultural evening, national evenings). The young people managed to develop their tolerance, empathy. - Motivating the 28 participants to practice eco sports, through the presentation and practice of the sports characteristic of their country, but also of hiking to Padis - Ecological education of the general public, on the one hand through the presentation held at the end of the youth exchange, on the other hand through the dissemination of materials related to the project, including the sports strategy (3 newspaper articles, 1 photo album/day on the Facebook socialization, 21 posts on Instagram, online and printed strategy in 160 copies, 1 TV video, 9 blog articles)
