We decided to create this project in order to give the opportunity to a small group of young people to better understand how could they use the web radio, the broadcasts and the podcasts in order to express their opinions, to become active involved in the life of their local communities and to promote different youth activities. In the same time we wanted to support them better understand the importance of the news/info/messages that they are promoting online and what is the responsibility of a influencer towards the others. The project had the following concrete objectives based on the needs identified by partners in their youth work: - increase the quality of youth work for 7 European association and 28 youth workers by showing a new, more participatory approach - achieved by giving youth workers an opportunity understand the importance of supporting the educational choices, points of view, motivations of young people by learning to adapt to new forms of cultural expression, by exchanging experiences on how to face new professional challenges brought by a participatory approach and new opportunities for young people in terms of self-establishment, growth and professional success; - increase the aggregation, group participation and expression of young people, increasingly influenced by social media – by introducing innovative forms of bringing young people together and reaching them on their life path - encourage 5 organizations from Poland, Italy, Spain, Greece and Portugal to set up their participatory web radio – by teaching technical skills and methods of creating horizontal and democratic broadcast - improve outside communication of partner organizations - by presenting web radio as a means of communication with target groups - facilitate aggregation of peers based on shared interests - by giving them a platform of individual and group expression - contribute to the sense of entrepreneurship and creativity of young people; support youth to influence their society, making them protagonists
