The development strategy provides for the intensification of international multidisciplinary cooperation between higher education institutions in Europe and those in non-EU countries (partner countries) by: • ensuring equal opportunities and facilitating access for Romanian and foreign students at the University to the Erasmus Program • increasing participation in education and training in other countries; • improving the teaching experience by promoting international teaching mobility The participation of UMF IASI in the Erasmus+ KA171 program emerged as a necessity in light of current requirements, with inter-institutional agreements being signed with non-EU universities. Non-European universities were very open to signing partnerships with UMF Iasi, the Erasmus+ program being the opportunity they needed to ensure the flow of students, teaching staff, and administrative personnel. Thus, the application included 6 universities (2 universities in Georgia, 1 in the Republic of Moldova, 1 in Albania, and 2 in Bosnia and Herzegovina).
