The project aimed at increasing the academic and didactic quality by integrating higher education institutions in regional and international frameworks for education and research. The main objectives were internationalisation, developing strategic partnerships and promoting inclusive, innovative and sustainable education. It envisaged strengtheining the international visibility of the involved institutions, creating university networks and facilitating the exchange of good practices in fields, such as science, engineering, environment, economics, tourism, security and international relations and others. Another objective was to increase global presence and competitivity through international academic exchanges, providing students and staff with the opportunity of getting in contact with different educational and cultural systems to enrich academic and professional development.
