The objectives to be achieved following the implementation of this project were: - developing the capacity of the teachers from the organizations involved in the project to design and apply modern STEAM teaching strategies, with topics inspired by children's books; - developing the capacity of preschoolers from the groups of teachers participating in the project, aged between 3 and 6 years, from the three partner institutions, to identify creative and practical STEAM solutions to problems inspired by children's stories; - developing the interest in reading of the preschoolers participating in the project through integrated STEAM activities; - developing the skills of the teachers involved in the project to interact with their colleagues from the partner countries, both directly and through digital technology; - developing the capacity of the three partner institutions to collaborate at the international level.
The main needs met by this project targeted the specific interests of the three partner institutions, in the context of their common goal of prioritizing STEAM activities as an important direction in education at the European level. So: Since the teachers from kindergarten in Romania had very limited experience regarding STEAM-type activities, the institution saw this project as an efficient way to create the basis for enabling teachers to use modern didactic strategies, in order to integrate them into current teaching activities in the long term . The school in Turkey capitalized on this project as an opportunity to develop children's interests and abilities in the STEAM field and their interest in reading, especially for children from vulnerable categories, as the school is located in a socio-economically disadvantaged neighborhood. The Kindergarten in Greece came to meet the need of the institution to reach a high level of development of the creativity of the teachers and children in their institution, but also of the quality of the activities, in order to increase the physical and emotional well-being of both the children and the teachers .
