By implementing the project, we wanted to achieve as objectives for 18 youth workers from the 3 European institutions, as the main target group of the project: 1. To acquire knowledge, innovative non-formal approaches and skills to create and use media resources as tools of intercultural and inclusive education. 2. To acquire strategies for using national cultural elements, as support for intercultural and inclusive education. 3. To acquire strategies for training young people in key entrepreneurial skills to facilitate their integration into the European labor market. 4. To create the premises for the development of partner organizations, for an increased involvement in the education of young people. Concretely, by implementing the project, the 3 partner institutions wanted to develop their key competencies, to learn how to support the inclusion of marginalized young people of various profiles, to learn new methods of working with young people in their regions, to teach young people "how to live together" - idea issued by UNESCO for education in the 21st century and through the SALTO platform, to develop as youth organizations for a more active involvement.
PARTNERS' NEEDS The youth workers from the partner institutions understood their need to acquire key skills, tools, strategies and resources to use in the intercultural environment and for the media education of young people, as inclusive education strategies, but also for an entrepreneurial education that it forms key skills for their integration into the European labor market. Youth workers are concerned with combating any form of social exclusion, and with intervention to support young people in a situation of social marginalization. Their goal is to reduce the risks of marginalization, a process that means multiple actions of young people: the formation of social and civic communication skills within multicultural groups that include them, non-discriminatory behaviors, respect for the culture of others, skills of adaptation to groups and integration in the labor market. The needs of youth workers result from the existing contexts in their regions, as a result of globalization and migrations: a mosaic of youth populations of different cultures, nationalities, ethnicities and behaviors, young people with disabilities, from poor families or with low levels of education.
